The “Authors of the Estate” project is a story that fights against the ‘crime and poverty’ narrative written for us. The result of the project sees a social housing estate create a book and learn how to build a publishing house out of council houses; the value proposition is that it creates a system that promotes employability, education, and the value of local knowledge — a new, iconic, positive story centred around the social housing estate; producing a stronger sense of solidarity through storytelling and education.

The official book launch will be taking place at Getty Images Gallery at 6PM, where discussions with the authors and leads will be happening, along with Q&As.

The official after party will be taking place inside ShuffleBox at BoxPark Wembley from 9PM.

DJ on the night will be Chalkhill’s very own DJ Fl£x, who will be playing a mix of hip-hop, grime and bashment until 11pm.
